Zika virus outbreak increasing in Maharashtra, Zika knocks in Mumbai

Mumbai Zika virus outbreak has started increasing in Maharashtra. Till now there are 130 Zika patients in the state and the maximum number of patients are in Pune Municipal Corporation area and now Zika has knocked in Mumbai also. It is reported that the health department of Mumbai Municipal Corporation has come on alert mode after a patient was found in Dadar area. Meanwhile, the Health Department has appealed to pregnant women to be cautious regarding the danger of Zika. It is reported that an 86-year-old elderly man in Dadar got infected with Zika last week and is undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hospital. It is being told that the patient is elderly and is also suffering from other diseases. Meanwhile, according to the state health department, 100 patients have been reported in Pune Municipal Corporation area, 06 in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Ahmednagar (Sangamner) 11, Pune Rural 9, Kolhapur 1, Sangli (Miraj) 1, Kolhapur 1 and 1 in Solapur i.e. a total of 130 patients. Have come. Once a Zika patient is found, tracking and tracing work is immediately started at such places. In Mumbai’s Dadar area, 5,40,712 people were screened and 94,846 houses were surveyed. In this, mosquito breeding sites have been found in 2746 houses.
